Best answer: as somebody who speaks both, i can tell you that german is harder in grammar, but french is harder in pronounciation by far. german pronounciation is very easy because there are no silent letters whereas french as many silent letters. the reason that german grammer is hard is because it's different than english.. Best answer: mmmmmm... being honest, i dont think that u could learn german by yourself. look, im latinamerican, my language is spanish, but i know english enough; n now i'm learning german in the goethe institut, n there's when u realize that you can't learn german alone.. Rosetta stone really is not worth it. a good thing to do is find german speakers to talk with and try to read german literature. im learning german and i just bought the german newspaper yesterday and i talk to my german landlady..
The fastest and easiest freee way to learn german, from my experience, is to first talk with someone, chat, speak, etc. try to meet girls/boys on the net, and have chat, you can talk about anything and share your phantasms and feelings.. I have learnt german as i have lived over here on and off for 20 years, because of my job in the british army, and sweetie p your talking crap, majority of the germans i have met are quite friendly and like the fact you have bothered to learn their language... Hey so, i'm seeing this girl and she was born in germany, however she moved to canada at such a young age, she lost her native tongue. she has been wanting to relearn it and i want to surprise her with a german dictionary. not necessarily a dictionary but i require a book that will teach her german words and grammar. any help will be greatly appreciated..
